City of Wanneroo Blessing of the Roads
The City of Wanneroo held their annual Blessing of the Roads on 14 April 2011. The event attracted a very large crowd including students from Mindarie, Clarkson and St Anthony's Primary School and St Stephens Caramar who placed crosses to remember those who have lost their lives on the road.

Police Chaplain Mike Mateljan and Yanchep Pastor Jon Spurgeon led the group in prayer remembering those lives lost on our roads and praying for safe travels during the Easter period.

City of Joondalup Festival
The 2011 Joondalup Festival transformed the City Centre into a vibrant hub of non stop free entertainment on the weekend of 26-27 March as tens of thousands of Western Australians visited Joondalup over both days of annual event. Nationally-reowned Australian singer Lior headlined the Festival with the Urban Couture fashion program, Street Arts precinct, Street Parade and the Erth dinosaur petting zoo also being the highlights of the weekend.

The City's Road Safety Officer, Marissa MacDonald and Sergeant Bob O'Sullivan were on hand to promote road safety on a range of issues such as child car restraints, speeding and driver distraction.
