The RoadWise Committee meets every two months on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Committee Membership:

• Shire of Serpentine-Jarrahdale Manager of Engineering
• Local school principals and P&C representatives
• Community representatives
• The Local Member of Parliament
• WA Police
• WALGA RoadWise Program

Projects/Issues

Safety around schools
School communities have concerns about road safety issues at the five primary schools in the Shire. The issue is a significant focus of the committee.

Road Safety Forum
The committee is in planning stages for launching a Road Safety Forum for year 12 students attending the Serpentine-Jarrahdale Grammar School.

Speed limit reductions
Speeding vehicles around the horse training area is a concern for the committee.

The committee is working with Main Roads WA to reduce the speed limit along Thomas Road from 90km/h to 70km/hr.
