Carnarvon RoadWise Committee consults the stars

The Carnarvon RoadWise Committee is encouraging committee members and the broader community to consult the stars when buying cars.

Members of the Carnarvon RoadWise Committee recently took possession of some new windscreen covers which promote the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) and Used Car Safety Ratings (UCSR).

By displaying the windscreen covers on their own vehicles when parked around town, Committee members are hoping to encourage members of the Carnarvon community and visitors to the town to check out safety ratings before purchasing their next vehicle.

Not all cars are equal when it comes to safety. The safer your vehicle, the safer your occupants will be if you are involved in a crash.

There are also vehicle safety features that assist in crash avoidance such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) which helps the driver keep control of the vehicle, and lane support systems which help the driver keep the vehicle within its lane.

Next time you are looking at purchasing a vehicle consider safety and consult the stars.
