The award winning road safety initiative in the Kimberley – Horns and Hooves on the Highway – is going global.

The RoadWise Committees of the Kimberley were successful in obtaining funding through the Government of Western Australia’s Road Safety Community Grants Program for the implementation of the next phase of the project.

The latest phase involves data collection through community surveys, the production of promotional and educational materials in a variety of languages, and an expanded social media campaign.

The foreign language campaign targets the thousands of tourists who visit the region each year, raising awareness of the risks of driving in north of the state.
