Blessing the Roads and More at Tropicool

Posted on: Tuesday, 20 June 2017 at 12:00:00 AM

The Committee chose to delay their Blessing of the Roads event until the festival to ensure tourists who attend the event (including caravaners and backpackers), were able to benefit from the important road safety messages.

With tourist season now in full swing, the Committee is working with local caravan parks to provide information about local road safety issues, including some of the hazards and different conditions that can be found on roads in the area.

Committee members will be delivering a series of presentations over the winter months on topics such as safe towing, trip planning, managing fatigue and watching out for livestock and wildlife on the roads.
