Shire of Kalamunda raises awareness of the dangers of driver distraction

The Shire of Kalamunda recently ran a road safety competition to raise awareness of the dangers of driver distraction. Driver distraction contributes significantly to serious road crashes.

To anticipate and avoid hazards on the road your full attention is required. By answering a number of road safety questions correctly two local residents each won a pack like the one pictured here which contained a number of road safety promotional items and a $50 fuel voucher.

Thanks also go to Technical Services at the Shire for their promotion of the White Ribbons for Road Safety campaign by distributing White Ribbons and placing an informative road safety article in the Shire of Kalamunda Safer Communities Newsletter.

For more information about driver distraction, visit the Office of Road Safety website.
