New and Used Car Information for Library Visitors

The display included website addresses for both the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP) which publishes safety ratings for new vehicles based on laboratory crash testing, and How Safe is your Car which provides used car safety ratings based on analysis of real crashes.

Information about the WALGA RoadWise Child Car Restraint Fitting Service was also available, including details of the telephone information service (1300 780 713) and website ( to provide access to additional information about fitting service locations and advice on child car restraints.

Using an appropriate child car restraint can greatly reduce the risk of death or serious injury to a child in the event of a crash.
