'Operation Measure' Targets Fatigue, Unroadworthy Vehicles and Heavy Vehicles in the Pilbara

WALGA's RoadWise supported Pilbara police as they targeted driver fatigue, unroadworthy vehicles and heavy vehicles as part of 'Operation Measure'.

Pilbara Traffic Officers checked vehicles for roadworthiness whilst also encouraging drivers to take a break to help avoid driver fatigue.

WALGA's RoadWise provided information and resources to help inform drivers about the dangers of driver fatigue, how to check the safety of a vehicle and things to look out for when driving through the region.

Working together to improve road safety outcomes in the Pilbara is nothing new, with a variety of organisations and community groups regularly joining forces to plan and implement local activities to address local issues.
