Two New Crash Car Trailers Launched in Wheatbelt South Region

Two new crash car display trailers have arrived at the Cuballing and Kulin Shires respectively for use by the Shires of the Wheatbelt South Regional Road Group.

Cuballing and Kulin Shires will manage bookings, insurance, licensing and maintenance of the trailers on behalf the Regional Road Group.

Cuballing Shire President, Cr Mark Conley said, “The trailers are a strong reminder of what can happen if we are not concentrating on the task at hand when driving”.

“We want everyone in the community to get home safely and if these trailers serve as a reminder to passing motorists or to people attending events where the display trailers are located, it has to be a positive," he said.

Local Governments from the Wheatbelt South Regional Road Group are invited to make bookings with the managing shires for upcoming events.

“It is envisaged that we will build a database of annual events and be able to coordinate the movement of the trailers strategically. The trailers are another tool for Local Governments and their communities to keep road safety at the forefront of everyone’s thinking.” said Mr Conley.
