Wheels in Motion Campaign Launches in Busselton

The City of Busselton launched its Wheels in Motion campaign on Wednesday, 6 December at Orana Cinemas in Busselton.

As part of the campaign, three animations will be played during summer at the local cinema and film festivals to promote the share the road message to local residents and visitors to the region. The campaign also promotes walking or cycling instead of driving for short trips.

Wheels in Motion, which received a grant from the Government of Western Australia's Road Safety Community Grants Program, will also be promoted by road safety committees across the South West region and through social media.

The City of Busselton is popular holiday destination and attracts tourists interested in cycling. The local community and stakeholders identified safety issues of primary concern to cyclists and pedestrians, including roundabouts and shared paths.
