Bike Safety at Carnarvon Town Beach

Bike safety and the importance of sharing the road was the focus in Carnarvon last month.

Celebrating Bike Week 2018, the Carnarvon RoadWise Committee collaborated with local businesses to encourage bike riders to make sure their bikes were in good working order and that they were visible to other road users.

Riders were encouraged to dress up their bikes, wear their helmets and bright clothing and ride to the town beach.

Committee members were on hand to promote bike safety and provide information about other Committee activities and local road safety issues.

Volunteers also manned the free sausage sizzle which was a big hit, providing much-needed sustenance to all attendees.
