Austroads Safe System Roads for Local Government project – site nomination request

The ARRB Group has requested input from Local Governments to identify and nominate sites across Western Australia that will be used as part of the Austroads ST1769 Safe System Roads for Local Government project to enhance engineering tools and guidelines.

Nominated sites should involve local roads, have conflict potentials between different road user groups, ideally have a real crash history and include rural and urban sites/routes to ensure a broad set of examples from across the State.

Local Governments are invited to nominate any sites that have caused concern within local networks including those which have been identified by local committees or those which have been treated or nominated as part of Blackspot Programs.

Please provide details of nominated sites, including location, road safety issues, road user group/s affected and Local Government contact details to Terri-Anne Pettet, RoadWise Program Manager, (08) 9213 2011 or tpettet@walga.asn.au by close of business on Tuesday, 17 March 2015.
