- Direct the brochure at the self drive traveller
- Launch project at the Perth Caravan and Camping Show in March 2008
- Download the brochure onto the website www.wheatbelttourism.com linked to tourist and local and state government websites
- Incorporate coutering drink driving, reducing speeding, increasing restraint use, improving the effectiveness of enforcement, improving the safety of roads, reducing travel speeds on sealed, unsealed and gravel roads, raising awareness when confronted with seasonal agricultural equipment and fatigue, into the brochure
- The messages will be presented in an eye catching way, incorporated with tourist information rather than as stand alone pages or a stand alone publication. The sharp and relevant messages, by appearing on every page, cannot be avoided. Local Police and Rangers will be involved in educational sessions with a special 'hoon' seminar to be conducted witht eh Year 12 students from Aquinas. The week blitz will involve the participation of all agencies in the week beginning Monday 24th September 2007, with students handing out educational flyers to parents and drivers, erecting the signage and life-sized corflutes around the schools and the use of large electronic speed indicators and message boards. Police and Rangers will also have a greater presence on the 'week blitz' issuing infringements and providing strategic support to the schools and City of South Perth. The target day is planned for Thursday 27th September, with a saturation of Police Officers, rangers, city and school staff ensuring the message of slow down in school zones and belt up is loud and clear. the program will continue on Friday 28th September 2007 with Aquinas adding an additional component providing information, support and driver reviver to parents and carers that have driven from regional areas to collect boarding students at the end of the third school term.
