Congratulations to City of Armadale on 20-year commitment to road safety

The City of Armadale is to be congratulated on their 20-year commitment to road safety through the establishment of the RoadWise Committee back in 1994.

The City was issued with a certificate on the 14th March 1994 from the then Western Australian Municipal Association, in recognition of its adoption of RoadWise as a community road safety program. The certificate carries the number 001.
The City of Armadale RoadWise Advisory Committee remains committed to improvingroad safety for the local community and has implemented initiatives such as an Annual Blessing of the Roads ceremony incorporating a children’s road safety art display, promotion of the annual White Ribbons for Road Safety Campaign, road safety competitions and a pilot initiative involving local Senior School student leaders and actions to improve road safety for young people.
The City of Armadale RoadWise Committee also collaborates with City of Gosnells RoadWise in RBT events that promote not drinking and driving.
Congratulations to the City of Armadale and to all the RoadWise Committee.
