Carnarvon RoadWise Committee Launches New Crash Car Trailer

Last month saw the Carnarvon RoadWise Committee launch their new crash car trailer as part of their Road Ribbon for Road Safety® campaign launch.

Through the kind generosity of the Carnarvon branch of the International Order Of Old Bastards (, the Estate of Neville Helm, Lotterywest and Rio Tinto, the Committee has been able to acquire a trailer with a crashed car to help promote road safety throughout the Shire of Carnarvon.

The Committee also received funding from the Shire of Carnarvon Community Growth Fund which enabled the running of a localised Road Ribbon for Road Safety® campaign which included a weekly quiz throughout the campaign period, as well as the purchase of promotional material including a pull up banner and large coreflute road ribbons.

Both the trailer and the Road Ribbon for Road Safety® campaign were launched at the Carnarvon Visitors Centre during December. Committee members were on hand to chat to those attending about future road safety activities planned for Carnarvon and how people could stay safe over the Christmas period.

The Committee will be working with the community and road safety stakeholders to identify future locations for the crash trailer and will incorporate it into their road safety action plan.
