Child Car Restraint Update - Keeping Fresh
In all areas of work it is important to keep up-to-date, and this is also true in the area of child car restraint fitting.
The most recent Type 1 Child Car Restraint (CCR) Fitter course held in Albany during January saw three current Type 1 CCR Fitters attend as a refresher, helping keep their knowledge and skills up-to-date, as well as strengthening the network of Fitters in the Great Southern region.
There are many different ways Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters can help to keep their skills and knowledge current, these include:
- attending a course as a refresher participant
- practising their skills on colleagues, family and friends
- looking at new child car restraints when shopping
- sending or phoning through any questions for clarification (email tdeshon@walga.asn.au or call the Child Car Restraint Information Line on 1300 780 713)
- always checking car and child car restraint manuals, and
- talking with other Type 1 CCR Fitters.
For Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters interested in attending a Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitter course as a refresher, our next courses will be held in Corrigin (Wheatbelt South) on Monday, 9 April and in the Gascoyne region on Tuesday, 15 May.
Please register your interest by emailing Road Safety Project Officer, Tammie Deshon at tdeshon@walga.asn.au. Information will be sent through when registration opens.
