Nannup Family Fun Day Highlights Restraint Use

Members of the Shire of Nannup Local Drug Action Group and RoadWise Committee attended the Nannup Family Fun Day on Tuesday, 23 January to help promote child car restraint use in the community.

More than 500 people attended the event including families, children and young people.

The RoadWise display promoted a range of road safety messages with a focus on road safety for children and youth, including information about the WALGA RoadWise Child Car Restraint Project and a colouring activity which focused on road safety for young children (courtesy of the School Drug Education and Road Aware (SDERA) program).

Committee members also took the opportunity to promote the South West region's award-winning M8 the Call Can W8 driver distraction campaign, encouraging visitors of driving age to sign a mobile phone use pledge and receive a M8 the Call Can W8 bumper sticker for their vehicle.
