Courtesy Speed Display Signs Trialled in Karratha
Courtesy speed displays signs, on loan from WALGA's RoadWise, are being used on a trial basis over the next six weeks at several different locations across Karratha.
Data collected from the signs will be compared with traffic count data to assess the impact the signs are having on travel speeds in the community.
Depending on the trial results, the City of Karratha may consider purchasing their own signs for use on a regular basis at various locations in Dampier, Karratha, Roebourne, Wickham and Point Samson.
