Congratulations to the Carnarvon RoadWise Committee's Andrea Pitcher

Congratulations to Main Roads WA Customer Service Manager and Carnarvon RoadWise Committee Secretary Andrea Pitcher who received the Active Citizenship Award as part of the Carnarvon WA Australia Day Awards for her contribution to road safety in the community.

The Carnarvon RoadWise Committee has been actively contributing to the Carnarvon community and Gascoyne region over the last four years by promoting road safety, and creating awareness of road safety issues and solutions. The Committee has a positive presence in the community, participating in many local events and implementing various road safety initiatives.

Andrea plays a key role in the coordination of the many local initiatives implemented by the Committee, including the Horns & Hooves on the Highwayproject, the new crash trailer, Bike Week promotions, Blessing of the Roads and Road Ribbon for Road Safety® events, local Driver Reviver operations, seniors' road safety events, Children's week activities, the recent walkability audit and many more.

Andrea is very committed to community road safety and volunteers a lot of her personal time to the cause. Congratulations, Andrea!
