Ladies Day Race Goers Reminded: Drink Driving is Never Okay

The Annual Kalgoorlie Boulder Race Round attracts people from far and wide. The Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee attend the Ladies Day event, together with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Local Drug Action Group to spread the message “Drink Driving is Never OK!”

The Racing Club provides a free bus service for patrons to ensure they travel home safely. There is also an extensive taxi service for this event, along with increased police services to extend the message of “Drink Driving is Never OK!”

Volunteers greeted patrons at the gate as they entered, handing out water throughout the day, labelled with the “Drink Driving is Never OK!” message.

Whilst the weather was not at its best on the day, race goers were happy to stop and have a chat about road safety, including local activities being implemented to help prevent local road trauma.
