The South West Youth Driver Development Program (YDDP) recently launched a shopfront for the Regional Youth Driver Education (RYDE) program at the City of Bunbury Library.

RYDE is an award winning program developed by the Town of Bassendean Youth Services which has been set up in a number of other Local Governments including the Cities of Mandurah and Cockburn.

The RYDE program provides young people with barriers to achieving their supervised hours, the opportunity to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving experience with volunteer ‘driving mentors’ in a RYDE vehicle.

The South West project involves important partnerships between the YDDP, City of Bunbury (via the RoadWise Committee), the City's Library staff, and a range of other youth organisations and driving instructors.
