Carnarvon Kids put their Mark on Seatbelts

Posted on: Monday, 26 November 2018 at 12:00:00 AM

Carnarvon RoadWise Committee members joined other local volunteers to promote both road safety and fun to Carnarvon kids during Children’s Week.

As part of the theme ‘reuse, refuse, recycle’, committee members set up a roadside 'information bay', made out of old pallets and had resources available for children to make their own seatbelts.

This activity proved very popular and provided committee members with the opportunity to talk to parents and carers about the importance of ensuring children are correctly restrained every trip.

The ‘information bay’ also included information about the other activities the Committee is involved in and ways to stay safer on the roads.

Thanks to Helping Minds, the Shire of Carnarvon, the Family Fun Day Kids Week Committee and all of the volunteers who helped create such an enjoyable event.
