Recognising Volunteers in Your Local Community

Do you work with local volunteers? Would you like to recognise those in your community who go above and beyond in the name of road safety?

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is the annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.
From 20–26 May, thousands of events will be held across the country to say thank you to the six million Australians who volunteer their time.

The National Volunteer Week theme is ‘Give a little. Change a lot’, which represents the millions of volunteers who make a profound impact in their communities and on society, through giving a little time.
WALGA’s RoadWise will be celebrating our road safety network during National Volunteer Week and we invite members of our road safety network to do the same.

There are many ways to recognise and acknowledge the valuable contributions of our volunteers. Download a copy of the National Volunteer Week 2019 Resource Kit to find out ways to recognise the contributions of volunteers in your local community.
