Out and About with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee

February was a busy month for members of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee as they set up around town to showcase local road safety services and activities.

First stop was setting up a display in the William Grundt Memorial Library during the month of February, to remind the community to be safe and aware around schools as children returned for the new school year.

School Dug Education and Road Aware (SDERA) information sheets and colouring activities were made available for children and their families as well and child car restraint information.

On 9 February, the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry held their annual 'Explore the Goldfields Expo' where people come together at St Barbara Square to find out about the various community groups in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Members of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee were there, talking to the community about how to stay safe on our roads, including information about the safe system approach. Child car restraint information, safe vehicle information and plenty of safety tips and resources were also available on the day.
