Great Southern Community Groups Promote Road Safety Messages

Sharing road safety messages and initiatives with a wider audience was a focus for RoadWise Committees in the Great Southern during 2019.

This has resulted in the development of new partnerships with a range of community groups. A number of outdoor recreation groups, including Trails WA and the Perth Trails Series (trail running) as well as sporting groups such as the Great Southern Street Machines Association, are now actively promoting road safety to their members through posts on their Facebook pages and websites.

These people are often travelling long distances to access recreational trails or events. Similarly, a number of Community Resource Centres across the region have been including road safety messages in their monthly newsletters and on their Facebook pages.
