Local Government Road Safety Awards 2022

There’s still time for Local Governments who are doing great things in road safety to submit a nomination for the 2022 Local Government Road Safety Awards in one or more of the following categories:

  • Safe System Approach – Road Infrastructure Improvements
  • Safe System Approach – Complementary Initiatives
  • Safe System Approach – Local Road Safety Partnerships
  • Joe North Award for a Significant and Outstanding Contribution to Road Safety

The Awards provide an opportunity for Local Governments to be applauded for their innovations in road safety. Previous winners include the City of Albany for their Middleton Beach Cycle Connectivity Project, the City of Bunbury for the Don’t Trust Your Tired Self South West Driver Fatigue Project, the Shire of Narembeen for their Save Our Country Kids Project, the City of Rockingham for their Road Safety Action Plan 2019-2022 and Franz Winkler for his tireless efforts to improve road safety through advocacy, training and mentorship, through a Joe North Award.
