Share our Roads
The Kalgoorlie-Boulder Committee developed the Share Our Roads campaign to raise awareness and educate the community about road safety issues impacting different road user groups such as trucks, light vehicles, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians.
The campaign features local people and places.
Kalgoorlie-Boulder has a wide variety of road user groups present on the roads from the heavy haulage and freight industries related to the mining activities, the drive in drive out workforce, the active cycling and running communities and families with young children commuting to school.
‘Share Our Roads’ aims to promote cohesive road user behaviour and to remind road users to be courteous to each other.
Towards Zero Race Day
Meetings at the Kalgoorlie Boulder Turf Club are well attended, attracting patrons from all demographics. This is an ideal location to promote all aspects of road safety.
Blessing of the Roads/World Day of Remembrance
These events are organised by the committee in conjunction with the Council to support Statewide campaigns. They are timed to promote road safety messages at times that traditionally have a high incidence of road crashes.
The RoadWise Committee participates in various activities to promote road safety to students.
The RoadWise Committee actively participates in activities being held within the city, such as market days, parades and community events.
