Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee joined the emergency services teams at the St John Ambulance Open Day in Kalgoorlie on 19 January

St John Ambulance showcased their fantastic, modern facility and the emergency services teams worked together, demonstrating their skills to the community.

The RoadWise Committee chatted with community members and shared information and resources around staying safe on the roads in the Goldfields.

The Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee reminds the community to be Road Safe Aware around schools, as children return for the New School Year, by setting up a display in the William Grundt Memorial Library for the month of February.

Information sheets and colouring activities are available for children and their families.

On 9 February the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry held their annual “Explore the Goldfields Expo” where people come to St Barbara Square to find out about all the community groups in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

The Kalgoorlie-Boulder RoadWise Committee were there talking to the community about how we can stay safe on our roads with information about the safe system. Child car restraint information, safe vehicle information and plenty of safety tips and resources were available on the day.

Blessing of the Roads/World Day of Remembrance

These events are organised by the committee in conjunction with the Council to support Statewide campaigns. They are timed to promote road safety messages at times that traditionally have a high incidence of road crashes.

Community Events

The RoadWise Committee actively participates in activities being held within the city, such as market days, parades and community events.
