City of Subiaco
The City of Subiaco covers an area of 7.1 square kilometres, has 117km of sealed roads, and a population of approximately 19,693 in over 8,487 residential dwellings.
Road Ribbons Road Safety campaign
The City supports the Road Ribbons for Road Safety campaign, a community based initiative which allow individuals to directly contribute to raising awareness about the importance of road safety, including over the festive holiday period.
By using promotional resources, the City encourages local residents to wear a white ribbon. This campaign urges people to take care on the roads and promote road safety messages to friends, family and colleagues, which helps to reduce road trauma.
One of the City’s priorities is to reduce speeding and travel speeds within the local community. Drivers are encouraged to adhere to the speed limit through the development of the speed display trailer on local roads.
The Subiaco TravelSmart Map shows all of the cycling, walking and public transport routes in the area, as well as the location of bike rails, bike shelters, bike shops, water fountains, shopping areas, and community facilities. The map will be distributed to local destinations, and promoted online.
