Town of Mosman Park
The Town of Mosman Park covers an area of 4.3 square kilometres, has 50.4km of sealed roads, and a population of approximately 9,550 in over 4,000 residential dwellings.
The Town provides 'Please Slow Down, Consider Our Kids' bin stickers to place on the side of wheelie bins. The bin stickers are part of a community education campaign to raise the awareness of drivers to reduce their speed in built up areas.
The stickers act as a deterrent for speeding by providing a visual reminder to drivers to reduce their speed. As they are only displayed on bin collection days, it reduces the chance that drivers will become accustomed to them.
If you would like a sticker for your bin, please contact the Town of Mosman Park.
Speed display trailer
Reducing travel speeds is a priority listed in the Town’s Community Safety and Crime Prevention Plan. The Town uses a speed display trailer on the streets of Mosman Park and Peppermint Grove. A visual tool available to raise awareness of drivers travel speeds and to educate drivers about the importance of slowing down.
