Safe Active Streets Program

As part of the Department of Transport’s Safe Active Streets Program, the City of Belmont has transformed Surrey Road into a bike boulevard. This has made this street more community friendly through lowered vehicle speeds, providing a safer environment for riding and walking.

The project included upgrading the approach to the Great Easter Highway underpass (pictured below), making it more accessible and safer to access.
