Raising Awareness of the Dangers of Drink and Drug Driving at Bunbury's NAIDOC Family Fun Day

Posted on: Tuesday, 18 July 2017 at 12:00:00 AM

The event was open to the whole community, celebrating the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

A Health and Careers Expo was incorporated into the event, with stalls and interactive displays providing great opportunities for local organisations to engage with the community. It is estimated more than 800 people attended the event, which also included a display of the South West District Police NAIDOC Week vehicle and uniforms.

WALGA's RoadWise partnered with the St John of God South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service in the Towards Zero Road Safety Display Trailer to raise awareness of the impacts of drink and drug driving and provide important standard drinks information.
