WALGA’s RoadWise has a number of tools and resource available to Local Governments which can help support and guide their work in delivering better practice road safety.
One popular resource is the courtesy speed display signs. These signs can assist Local Governments in:
- supporting their own local area speed management works or speed limit changes by Main Roads WA to positively influence travel speeds across the network
- addressing elements of road use by encouraging behaviour maintenance or behaviour change in relation to speeding, and
- supporting speed enforcement activity by local police.
With three sets now in circulation, and readily available, Local Governments interested in booking the signs should visit the RoadWise website; Courtesy Speed Display Signs » WALGA RoadWise.
RoadWise Councils can also contact their Road Safety Advisor for further assistance and advice.
