Course participants become part of a statewide network of qualified Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters and will gain the knowledge and skills to competently check and fit child car restraints, as well as provide information and advice about child car restraints to parents and caregivers.
All participants are required to have a minimum of $10 million Public Liability Insurance, with preference given to individuals intending to offer a fitting service to the community, and in areas where there are a limited number of Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters in their area.
Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitter courses are tentatively scheduled for the Wheatbelt North region (late October), Metro North region (13 November) and the Great Southern region (early December).
Current Type 1 Child Car Restraint Fitters can register their interest to attend a course as a refresher.
