International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP) Animations Promote Lower Speed Environments

iRAP has developed three animations to promote how lower speeds around the world can protect people and enable healthy, more sustainable choices such as walking and cycling.
The animations capture three street scenes from the iRAP Star Ratings of NACTO-GDCI’s Global Street Design Guide and can be viewed at https://irap.org/2021/05/nacto-gdci-and-irap-release-animations-to-demonstrate-how-low-speeds-can-protect-people/.
This animation supplements the Global Street Design Guide – which gives the iRAP Star Rating for the existing and improved designs – and allow road designers to understand the scale of the safety benefit that good road design can deliver.
